Feeling good!

Now I'm going to start focusing on running (outdoors).
Gym yes, but not that much that often. Running outdoors on my weeks at home is #1.
I'm going to work tomorrow night, might not have the opportunity to go running before that. People places and things happen. I'll do a session on my indoors bike at home tomorrow if I can't go outdoors for a run!

On Friday I did a 70 mins run outdoors in Göteborg, city running. Pavement. Some uphill. good weather.

Today I did a session with my PT Jussi.
TRX and speed intervals on the treadmill. Planks with both feet in the TRX! My new favourite plank! Will do more!

Tuesday

On Tuesday I jogged 10 km along the river, the western side which doesn't have much snow and ice anymore.
Homework done, now I can do what I want at the gym for the rest of the week!

Monday workouts

On Monday I had a session with my PT. Upper body iron pumping. Did my body good.
He gave me homework: 12 and 10 km jogs.
So on Monday afternoon I put on my running shoes and did a 12 km jog!
Some of the route was quite snowy and icy; especially in the parks and along the Eastern side of the river. Slowed me down quite a bit.
10-12 km were like syrup. My shoes wouldn't leave the ground, but I did not give up.
What a feeling when the Nike Running program on my phone finally announcefd 12 km done!!

Sunday cardio

Today I did 1 hour of cycling intervals with 80's pop blasting in my ears.
Warm-up was 2,5 km rowing.
Afterwards #plankaday and stretching!

After the workout I met with some friends at the Nepalese place across the street from the gym.
had tandoori chicken with cashew nut and cream sauce. Delicious!!!

Saturday cardio

Rest day from running.
Went to the gym.
45 mins spinning with various pop blasting in my ears. Speed intervals.
Afterwards #plankaday and sit-ups.

And quite a lot of walking outdoors in the lovely sunshine!

Tested my new shoes Friday night!

Jogged nearly 9 km in my new Nike shoes on Friday night! Some of the route was still snowy and icy so I had to walk.
The new shoes are great!! And they're pink! I'm going to run like a gazelle in New York in pink shoes :)

First outdoors run!

First outdoors run for this season DONE! 6 km by the River Aura. Suomen Joutsen-Turku Cathedral-Turku Castle. Quite a lot of snow and ice by the castle.

Signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!

I have printed, filled out, signed, sealed, and mailed my letter to the Central Park Conservancy about joining Team Central Park on Sunday Nov 3rd for the 2013 ING NYC Marathon!
I have no idea what I've gotten myself into, I just know I'll have to live in the gym until then :)

I had a hectic Easter at work but managed to get a few workouts done.
My legs tend to get quite tired after a few days at work, so I'm going to concentrate on indoor cycling and strength training while there.
The Wattbike has arrived, it is working and I'm loving it!
I've already got my yellow TdF-jersey in my work bag :)
And I've updated my "Running" playlist, it'll be my "Cycling" playlist from now on. Different tempo songs.

Today I'm going to try something new: balletone 
I'll thunder away on the treadmill before the balletone class, still have some homework undone.

Let's get in on! ING New York City Marathon, here I come!
